ELLSWORTH — Pearl Mattson and Louise Levesque won the 2nd Annual Woodlawn Golf Croquet Doubles Tournament on Aug. 30 at the Woodlawn Museum in Ellsworth.
The next event for the Woodlawn Croquet program is the Mini Lobster Tournament from Sept. 8-11. Twenty-seven players from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maryland and Canada are registered to play. Competition begins on Woodlawn’s tournament-sized court on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 8 a.m. Play also will be on Tina Hinckley’s court in Southwest Harbor and the Sorrento Croquet Court. The championship games will be at Woodlawn on Sunday, Sept. 11.
The Mini Lobster Tournament is a six-wicket singles U.S. Croquet Association-sanctioned tournament.
