Kirkus Reviews awarded “The Kinfolk” a starred review, reserved for books of extraordinary merit, saying that it is “teeming with adventure and philosophical richness, this trilogy closer excels.”

The Five Stones Trilogy tells the story of the three Thompson brothers and their neighbors, the two Boudreaux sisters, who travel to a mysterious island called Ayda, where four realms are locked in a destructive struggle for power. The books have received praise for the author’s world-building skills, the philosophy that infuses the adventure and the strong individuality of the large cast of characters. Book One, “The Fog of Forgetting,” debuted in 2014, and earned the Silver Moonbeam award for preteen fantasy fiction. It was followed in 2015 by “Chantarelle.” All three books are published by Yarmouth-based Islandport Press.

There will be books for sale and signing. Light refreshments will be served. There also will be a fun quiz to take to see where your personality would fit on the Isle of Ayda, in Melor, Metria, Exor or Varuna?
